March marks the annual observance of Social Work Month for 2014 and Staffing Plus would like to honor all individuals working in this extraordinarily valuable profession.
This year's theme "All People Matter" - as announced by The National Association of Social Workers - lends further awareness to the social work profession's 116-year commitment to helping people in their personal and interpersonal lives in order to achieve social improvement and pursue social change for the larger community as a whole.
The NASW's goal for Social Work Month 2014 is to educate the public on the values of mutual dignity and respect "for everyone" and that instilling these values is essential to building stronger family relationships, social support systems, and communities. While you may or may not be a Social Worker yourself, you would be hard pressed to not think of a time that your life, or the life of a loved one, has not been impacted by their work.
Still figuring out what you want to be when you grow up? We encourage you to consider pursuing a role in this worthwhile and rewarding profession by browsing our social work jobs. As an advocate of the work done by all Behavioral Healthcare Providers, we thank you for your selfless work. If you are fortunate enough to have one in your life, take a moment to thank a Social Worker this month for their invaluable efforts.
